What's a remap, really?
More than just "turn the boost up"
Modern engines are deliberately held back from the factory. Manufacturers calibrate ECUs to cover every market, every fuel quality, every climate and every driver, from someone who never services their car to someone in a hot country running poor-quality fuel. The result is a safe, conservative tune that leaves serious performance and efficiency on the table.
A custom remap rewrites the ECU's fuel, ignition, boost and torque maps for your exact car and your real-world conditions. The hardware doesn't change, the software just stops holding it back. That's where the extra power, torque and (often) better MPG come from.

Our process
Every remap follows the same four steps. No shortcuts.
Health check first
We hook up our diagnostic kit and read every module on the car. Faults, knock counts, MAF data, fuel trims, if it's not healthy, we don't tune it.
Custom file written
We pull your original ECU file, calibrate it to your exact engine, fuel and goals, and prepare it for flashing. Your stock file is saved.
Flashed & live monitored
The new file goes on with the bonnet up and live data running. We watch boost, AFR, timing and load to confirm everything's clean.
Road tested
Finally we take it out and drive it. If anything isn't perfect we tweak the file and re-flash before you sign off.

How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the vehicle, different ECUs take different amounts of time and tooling to read, write and calibrate. Most Stage 1 remaps fall between £250 and £450 all-in, with no call-out fee on top.
